Adkin are delighted to announce that Julian Sayers has been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for Oxfordshire with specific responsibility for the County’s farming and rural communities.
Julian said “I am honoured to have been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant and I look forward to supporting the Lord Lieutenant and the work of the Lieutenancy in my new role. I have lived in Oxfordshire for the last 40 years and worked within the County’s farming and rural communities as part of the Adkin team throughout that period. I am committed to ensuring that those who are employed in agricultural businesses and sustain our rural population are duly recognised. Food production, the environment, energy generation and many other issues are high on the current agenda when considering the way in which our land is managed and the livelihoods of those whose depend upon the associated industries. However, history shows that those living and working in our rural areas will rise to the challenges they face for the benefit of the community as a whole.”
